Norris Tops Oscar Piastri in Sao Paulo Practice Session
Lando Norris has beaten his teammate at all of the past five race weekends.
The McLaren driver just pipped team-mate and title rival the Australian for the quickest lap in the final moments of the practice session at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The British racer, who took the championship lead from Piastri by just one point after taking the win in the Mexican Grand Prix recently, topped the Melbourne-born driver by a tiny margin of 0.023secs.
Earlier in the session, Oscar Piastri had been the quickest of the McLaren pair for most of the session before sprint qualifying set to begin at the evening session.
Max Verstappen, the other racer in the championship fight, trailing 36 points behind Norris, was classified in 17th position as his Red Bull team followed a different programme.
His teammate Yuki Tsunoda was the only driver to go off, though minor, when he spun at Turn Four soon after starting.
The Japanese spun out over the exit kerbs before sliding over the escape zone, and was blessed to avoid just a minor contact of the fence.
Ferrari's the seven-time champion also lost it, at the final moments of the practice, spinning around through the high-speed Mergulho corner approaching the last turn on to the main straight.
Hamilton ended the session in 19th, one place behind teammate Charles Leclerc.
The McLaren pair were well clear of the other competitors, with Nico Hulkenberg's car in third, 0.619secs behind the Australian's time.
Aston Martin's the Spanish driver was fourth quickest, with the Sauber of Bortoleto fifth from the Mercedes of Russell and the Alpine of Gasly and the Williams of Sainz.
